We at Pro1 Recruitment want to alert you to a concerning issue that has come to our attention. It has come to our attention that there are fraudulent messages circulating on WhatsApp, where individuals are impersonating members of our team and offering fake job opportunities.

We want to emphasise that these messages are not coming from anyone associated with Pro1 Recruitment, and we are extremely sorry for any confusion or inconvenience they may have caused. We take this matter very seriously and have reported it to the authorities to take necessary actions. Please note that we will never ask you for payment in exchange of our services. We will never ask you for documentation via WhatsApp and will always qualify a vacancy with you verbally or face to face. If you have doubt regarding the authenticity  of a message – please phone our office directly on 01827 307673 to check.

We want to provide you with some tips on how to identify fraudulent messages so that you can protect yourself and others from scams:

  • Look out for typos, grammatical errors, or language that is unusual for a professional company.

  • Be wary of unsolicited job offers that you did not apply for or seem too good to be true.

  • Check the phone number or email address of the person contacting you. Scammers often use numbers that are different from official company numbers, or use free email addresses like Gmail or Yahoo.

  • Never share any personal information or send money to anyone you don't trust or know.

If you have received a message that you suspect is a scam, please block and report the number immediately.

We want to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your understanding.
