About Us:

We are seeking 20 experienced mail sorters with a strong background in operating mail sorting machines to join a growing business in the Birmingham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and technical skills to contribute to a dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sorting and Processing Mail: Ensure all mail is sorted accurately by postcode, utilising advanced mail sorting technologies and machinery.
  • Machine Operation: Load, operate, and oversee mail processing equipment, including sorting machines and printing machinery.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on mail sorting machines, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any operational problems.
  • Training and Development: Learn to set up and operate printing and mailing machines, with comprehensive training provided.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to improve efficiency and accuracy in mail sorting operations.

Shift Details:

  • Shift Times: Rotating shifts between 0600 - 1430 and 1400 - 2230, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing shift patterns and priorities.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay Rate: Starting at £11.44 per hour, increasing to £15 per hour upon completion of training.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in mail sorting or operating mail processing machinery is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Physical Ability: Physically fit to stand for long periods and lift heavy mail bins.
